April 2022: In April 2022, the transaction for the purchase of Oi’s mobile assets was closed, where we acquired spectrum, clients and contracts for the right to use towers. As of May, the work of integrating the assets started focusing on three fronts: mobile network integration (spectrum, equipment and sites), client migration from Oi’s systems to our systems, and decommissioning of overlapping sites.

May 2022: With so many fundamental fronts for TIM’s future and a very complex external environment, we had to redouble our focus on the execution of the strategy we outlined and communicated to the market during our TIM Brasil Day in May.

June 2022: We received the Great Place to Work certification and were recognized for excellence in handling complaints by Reclame Aqui, with the RA1000 award.

July 2022: We launch 5G in July, starting with the federal capital, Brasilia. Then we started operating with the new technology in São Paulo, Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro. We lead 5G coverage in Brazil in number of sites, covering more than 80% of the population in some key markets.

August 2022: We innovate in the launch of 5G in social impact partnerships with Gerando Falcões.

September 2022: Sponsorship of Rock in Rio and recognition by leading Refinitiv’s ranking as the most diverse telecom company in the world.

October 2022: Achievement of 5G coverage in the 27 state capitals.

2021

January 2021: TIM, together with Vivo, Claro and Oi, signs a purchase and sale agreement for UPI Ativos Móveis da Oi, as a result of the competitive procedure for the disposal of the assets of the operator’s mobile operation.

June 2021: The Board of Directors of TIM S.A. approves the second issuance of debentures (first issue of debentures that has a sustainable component allowing its qualification as sustainability-linked, according to the principles established by the International Capital Markets Association – with determined ESG targets).

July 2021: TIM and Cogna partner with the objective of developing offers combined with special benefits aimed at access to distance education through the Ampli platform. The partnership brings together a digital teaching platform developed in mobile-first concept, with the largest 4G infrastructure in Brazil.

November 2021: Acquisition of 4G and 5G frequencies at 2.3 Ghz, 3.5 Ghz and 26 Ghz in an auction held by Anatel.

November 2021: Fitch confirms TIM S.A.’s National Long-Term Rating in “AAA (bra)”

November 2021: TIM concludes an agreement with IHS Brasil for the acquisition of a equity interest in FiberCo Soluções de Infraestrutura S.A. (which is now called “I-Systems”), a company constituted by TIM for the segregation of network assets and the provision of infrastructure services. As a result of the closing of the transaction, IHS Brasil now held 51% of I-Systems’ share capital, with the remaining 49% remaining under TIM’s control.

2020

February 2020: Fitch assignes initial rating ‘AAA (bra)’ to TIM Participações S.A.

March 2020: TIM and Banco C6 enter a strategic partnership with the objective of developing combined offers with special benefits for the company’s customer bases. For the first time, digital banking and telecommunications services are united in one proposition. The agreement also provided for the possibility of exploring synergies of sales and payment channels, expanding the distribution of offers and optimizing costs.

April 2020: Anatel approves the Network Sharing Agreement between TIM and Telefônica Brasil S.A.

April 2020: TIM announces that it has entered into an agreement with Google Cloud to use Google Cloud Platform (“GCP”) as its strategic cloud platform for Big Data.

June 2020: the Board of Directors of the Company approves the execution of a Conduct Adjustment Term (“TAC”), between Anatel and TIM S.A..

July 2020: TIM reformulates TIM Black’s portfolio and brings offers with large data packages and internet that can be accumulated for the following month and international roaming. Customers also have exclusive access to TIM Black Tech Store to purchase the best technology products with special discounts.

August 2020: Launch of the new dynamic for TIM Pré TOP offer. The main actions and incentives: (i) Introduction of TIM+ Vantagens: the first advantage program for prepaid customers; (ii) TIM Beta – customers who make recurring recharges only through digital channels will have possibility to “evolve” into TIM Beta; and (iii) Data Stack – customers who accumulate at least R$ 30 in recharges in the month will be rewarded with a bonus of 1GB to use in the valid period of their offer.

August 2020: The Board of Directors of TIM Participações S.A. and TIM S.A. approve the incorporation of TIM Participações S.A. by TIM S.A.

October 2020: TIM completes its corporate simplification and announces a change in identification codes on the stock exchanges (“tickers”) of Brazil (B3), from TIMP3 to TIMS3, and from New York (NYSE), from TSU to TIMB.

October 2020: TIM and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles close an unprecedented partnership to offer connectivity solutions embedded in fiat, Jeep and RAM vehicles in Brazil. As part of the global strategy to develop ecosystems for connected services and enhance the digital customer experience, future FCA launches in the country now rely on eSIM, a virtual chip for access to native Wi-Fi on board, with the quality of TIM’s 4G coverage and Internet of Things (“IoT”) network.

November 2020: Fitch assigns the National Rating “AAA (bra)” to TIM S.A.

November 2020: TIM introduces a service marketplace into its TIM Black Family plan where users can choose which subscription they prefer in their offering: Netflix, HBO GO or YouTube Premium, with the flexibility to switch without having to change plans. In addition, the plan has TIM concierge, with a store with several services in the MY TIM app and with discounts on devices.

2019

May 2019: TIM announces pilot projects of 5G tests in 3 cities.

June 2019: TIM introduces the concept of entertainment hub for the mobile market with the TIM Black Família launch.

July 2019: TIM Live crossed 500 thousand customers milestone.

2018

January 2018: TIM reinforces the benefits of the TIM Black plan with new partnerships outside the telecommunications sector – the telco launches the TIM PRA MIM relationship program, which offers discounts and exclusive advantages in several areas such as gastronomy, travel and entertainment.

February 2018: TIM enters into a memorandum of understanding (“MOU”) with Oi S.A. that opens a new cycle of planning of infrastructure sharing.

July 2018: TIM is the first telco to activate the commercial internet of things network on 4G. NB-IoT technology adopted by the operator enables the creation and development of solutions to smart cities.

December 2018: TIM launches TIM Pré TOP, a new prepaid plan with a portfolio that presents new benefits and the only one in the market that offers social networks without discounting the data franchise.

December 2018: The Board of Directors’ of TIM Participações approves the first issuance of non-convertible debentures.

2017

June 2017: Launch of TIM Black, postpaid concept with exclusive benefits and advantages, including unlimited call to all Brazilian operators.

November 2017: TIM confirmed for the 10th consecutive year in the ISE portfolio.

2016

April 2016: TIM changes its brand and its signature to “Evolve is to do things differently”.

December 2016: TIM launches the first 4G network in Fernando de Noronha (Pernambuco State) and reaches more than 1,200 cities covered with 4G technology by the end of 2016.

2015

June 2015 – Launch of Live TIM Blue Box, product that integrates digital TV in HD, cable TV, Netflix, YouTube and is part of TIM’s new fixed service portfolio.

October 2015 – TIM announces a new portfolio to once again set forth a market revolution, breaking one of the last barriers of mobile telephony in Brazil: the high cost of off-net calls.

2014

May 2014 – Launch of Infinity Turbo 7, offer for postpaid customers with SMS and web for R$ 7 per 7 days usage.

June 2014 – Launch of a daily Infinity offer for the prepaid segment, with a daily fee per day of use.

July 2014 – Live TIM crossed 100 thousand customers milestone.

September 2014 – TIM acquires the 4G license in 700 MHz in a Anatel’s auction.

October 2014 – TIM launches an offer that allows customers to connect in up to four devices with only one data package, with no charge for additional chip.

November 2014 – Controle WhatsApp plan launch. The new delivery model allows the user to send unlimited text and voice messages and photos through the app, with no bearing on the Internet allowance. Access to WhatsApp remains free and without speed reductions even if the customer reaches th allowance limit.

2013

April 2013 – Launch of TIMmusic, app that provides access to millions of songs on your mobile.

July 2013 – Instituto TIM creation. The entity has the mission to create and enhance resources and strategies for the democratization of science and innovation, to promote human development in Brazil, with mobile technology among the main enablers.

October 2013 – Launch of Infinity Web + Torpedo, offer for prepaid customers with a daily fee for SMS and internet all day.

2012

May 2012 – TIM conquered leadership in the prepaid segment.

June 2012 – TIM acquires the 4G license in 2.5 GHz in a Anatel’s auction.

November 2012 – Launch of Liberty Control Express plan that maintains the benefits of unlimited calls, simplifying purchasing a postpaid plan, the only requirement being to have a credit card.

2011

June 2011 – it was approved at the Extraordinary General Shareholders’ Meeting of the Company the migration to the special listing segment called “Novo Mercado” of BM&FBovespa followed by the conversion of the total number of preferred shares into common shares of the Company, in the proportion of 0.8406 newly issued common shares for each preferred share of the Company.

August 2011 – the Company starts to have only common shares traded on the Novo Mercado listing segment of BOVESPA, with the ticker “TIMP3” and American Depositary Receipts representing common shares issued by the Company on the New York Stock Exchange.

2010

June 2010 – Reach first place in market share for long distance, overtaking traditional competitors in the industry.

July 2010 – Recast TIM Web offer, through the tariff by time of usage and not by volume of data traffic.

August 2010 – Launch the data plans Infinity and Liberty Web, giving unlimited access to the Internet through mobile handsets for prepaid and postpaid customers, respectively.

September 2010 – TIM is the first to launch the iPhone 4, reinforcing its position as innovative company.

October 2010 – Launch of the Infinity Mais, that aggregate fixed termination within the concept of Infinity, paying only for the first minute call.

December 2010 – Acquisition of 2G leftovers frequency, allowing TIM to expand the coverage and strengthen its presence in the north region and in the states of Parana, Santa Catarina and Minas Gerais.

2009

April 2009 – TIM starts the renewal of its portfolio with the launching of “Infinity” plan.

2008

April 2008 – TIM started providing third generation services under the brand name of “TIM 3G+”. The new TIM 3G+ includes services such as: mobile broadband, video call and mobile TV. More over, TIM established partnerships resulting in alliances with the main internet and content companies, and Internet services for mobile phones as a way to provide exclusive and quality contents to its clients.

July 2008 – TIM launches, in a partnership with HP, the first 100% connected laptop in Brazil, with modem and TIM Chip included.

September 2008 – Debut of ‘TIM Fixo’, setting another milestone in the Company’s convergence strategy. Launching through an innovative offer in more than 300 cities in every Brazilian state, TIM becomes an alternative player in the fixed telephony market.

December 2008 – TIM launches iPhone 3G, with exclusive offers especially customized to Apple’s revolutionary handset.

2007

May 2007 – TIM acquired the nationwide fixed telephony license.

September 2007 – TIM acquired new lots of 900 Mhz and 1.8 Ghz frequencies relating to the frequency surplus (SMP) through the auction held by Anatel.

December 2007 – TIM acquired the 3G frequencies at 1.9 GHz and 2.1 GHz for the whole of Brazil, except the Triângulo Mineiro region, which enables the Company to offer third generation services like mobile broadband in all the states.

2005

May 2005 – Approved the merger of all TIM Sul and TIM Nordeste shares by TIM Participações.

August 2005 – TIM Participações headquarters moved to Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

2004

August 2004 – the shareholders of Tele Nordeste Celular (TND) and of Tele Celular Sul (TSU) approved in the General Meeting the incorporation of TND by TSU . Additionally Tele Celular Sul changed its name to TIM Participações S.A.

October 2004 – the shares of TIM Participações started to be negotiated at Bovespa, with exchange name TIM PART S.A., with the same tickers of Tele Celular Sul, that is, TCSL3 for ordinary shares and TCSL4 for preferred shares.

October 2004 – the ADRs of TIM Participações are negotiated at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) keeping the ticker TSU.

2003

July 2003 – The Company launched the Carrier Selection Code (CSP), through which the user may choose the long-distance service provider. The choice of a carrier for calls made from cell phones is part of the SMP’s requirements.

August 2003 – The Company launches the GMS (Global System for Mobile Communication) technology in its operating market.

2002

September 2002 – The Company introduced the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) technology while launching business operations in the regions where it acquired licenses for Banda D and E.

December 2002 – The Company converted its respective concessions to operate in the Cellular Mobile Service (“SMC”) mode into authorizations to operate in the Personal Mobile Service (“SMP”) mode.

2001

January 2001 – TIM acquires licenses for operating “D” and “E” bands of the cell mobile telephony in Brazil, being the only group authorized to provide services all around the country, using the same brand in the various regions.

1998

September 1998 – Common and preferred stocks of Tele Celular Sul started being traded at the São Paulo Stock Exchange – Bovespa.

November 1998 – The Company’s ADRs started being traded at the New York Stock Exchange – NYSE.
